This day in tech history, VisiCalc gets released

37 years ago VisiCalc became the first spreadsheet program that could be used on personal computers.  (Think Excel, but 37 years ago on a computer that was essentially a calculator). VisiCalc then quickly turned into a business tool as it sold over 700K copies in six years. Looking back on it it can seem very difficult to use and awkward to use. But back then VisiCalc was a breakthrough, convincing people to get the Apple 2 computer just to get VisiCalc.
