Little Big Planet 2 (LBP2) is a video game available on PS3. Its prequel is as well, and its sequel (LBP3) is available on both PS3 and PS4. Over 3 million levels were created by players. The game is centered around building or playing levels. There is a story mode in which you earn materials to build your own levels, costumes to dress up your “Sackboy” or “Sackgirl,” or stickers and other decorative objects to decorate your pod. Each Sack-person has a moon where their personal levels are. Once in your moon, you can choose a background for your level and decorate it however you like. There are three layers (front, middle, and back) in which you can build. There are ways around this three layer limit, but they require you to use certain glitches to make it happen. The possibilities are limitless with the multiple logic tools in the game. Microchips help organize the logic pieces, making it possible to build anything from a controllable flying laser-eyed robot to a talking monkey that eats bananas and climbs trees. LBP2 is not only a fun game but also useful in many aspects of life. It increases creativity and logical thinking. No matter what career field you plan to go into, LBP2 will help you increase the skills you need for that job. Art? You can build bridges design an entire city (architecture) or use the different materials and stickers to create pictures (fine arts). Computers? Use the logic to learn computer programming or learn to create video games with the level creation. Create your own economic system with sackbots or start the zombie apocalypse. Your imagination is your only limit.
